PRIMARY TYPE
Real Head Pro
Northeastern’s primary typeface is Real Head Pro, an all-purpose typeface that includes 13 weights, providing flexibility for any environment. The font family for this typeface is called FF Real.
ALTERNATE TYPE
Lato
Northeastern’s alternative typeface is Lato. It’s one of the most versatile, unique font families for digital applications. It should only be used where Real Head Pro is unavailable.
Font licenses
Freelancers, outside contractors, advertising agencies, and other suppliers are independent entities, and each needs their own font license.
Real Head Pro
Northeastern employees can download this font free via Adobe Fonts (called FF Real).
This font can be used for both Adobe applications as well as desktop applications (Word, PowerPoint, etc.). For instructions on how to do this, please see this help article.
Lato
Lato is an open source font and available free. It can be downloaded from Adobe Fonts for use in desktop applications.
